New digital foundation: Kittelberger develops websites and a PIM system for the Bluhm Weber Group
Background information
The Bluhm Weber Group is entering a new digital era: With a comprehensive relaunch of its international websites and the introduction of a powerful Product Information Management system (Advastamedia PIM), product information and content are now maintained centrally, delivered consistently, and presented in a user-friendly way.
Key data
- Customer: Bluhm Systeme

- Section: Web Solutions, Hosting and Operations, Design and Creation, Database Service and Support
- Launch: September 2025
From concept through design and technology to operation in our own data center, nearly all disciplines at Kittelberger were involved.
The central idea was to place the Bluhm Weber Group’s product communication on a new, scalable foundation:
- An online style guide in Figma translates the new corporate design into the digital realm.
- Eight country websites in nine language versions run on a multi-domain CMS instance (Silverstripe CMS) – including smart inheritance logic that allows content to be transferred, for example, from Germany to Austria or Switzerland.
- About 50 flexibly usable content modules ensure that content can be presented in a varied and precisely tailored way.
- With Algolia, a modern search engine is in use that merges content from the CMS and product data.
- Forms, newsletter integration, event management, references, glossary, whitepaper downloads and much more make the website a true communication platform.
Special attention was also given to the product data:
In the Advastamedia PIM, simple and complex product types were modeled, variants and component structures mapped, technical data and properties maintained through inheritance logic, and country-specific assortments taken into account. Website visitors benefit from filter functions in product listings, detailed product pages with technical data, display of components, images, videos and 3D models. A “Request a quote” form enables direct contact with sales teams.
“With the new appearance, we can present our products and solutions in a modern, interactive, and internationally consistent way. At the same time, we are creating the basis for using our content in additional channels – for example, for dynamically generated data sheets or in sales materials. For us, this is a major step toward truly media-neutral product communication.”
– Stephan Textor, Head of Marketing, Bluhm Systeme GmbH

And the project continues: In the next step, we are developing dynamic PDF generation for technical data sheets directly from the PIM.
We are very pleased about the successful go-live and to be actively shaping the digital future of the Bluhm Weber Group.
