VW Commercial Vehicles is a technology-leading manufacturer of MPVs, recreational vehicles, and commercial vehicles. In July 2003, VW commissioned us to develop the press database and image database for the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles brand based on the advastamedia® digital archive and the Kittelberger press database solution.

The multilingual press database offers comprehensive management of all press information – with the corresponding assigned press images – as well as extensive search functions, an email service, and a news report. The photo service news enables a direct link between the press and image databases. The PDF generator developed by Kittelberger allows journalists to compile personalized press kits and download them directly as PDFs.

The image database manages all product and application images of the Commercial Vehicles brand. Images can be selected via appropriate categories and search filters, enlarged, and ordered as high-resolution files. Since the completion of the central press database solution, Kittelberger has also been responsible for its maintenance and the operation of the entire system.
