“Test. Share. Keep.” – Under this motto, selected testers were given the opportunity in recent months to experience the power of the BITURBO power tools firsthand. Nearly 60,000 tradespeople applied to test one of these highly sought-after tools via a dedicated campaign website developed specifically for the initiative, complete with an integrated user database.
The selected testers received a tool of their choice, put it through its paces, and shared their experience in a social media video. Those who impressed Bosch Power Tools the most were even allowed to keep the tool afterwards.
The Project: Technology, Concept, Coordination
From a technical perspective, the project involved a sophisticated setup for managing the campaign, storing user data, and integrating with various internal Bosch systems. A key component was ensuring the secure and GDPR-compliant collection of personal data. User-generated content and videos were submitted via a custom upload process and then categorized accordingly. All data is securely stored in Kittelberger’s data center in Reutlingen.
Kittelberger also managed the international rollout, including the creation, maintenance, and localization of the respective landing pages. “We’re proud of this project – especially because the short distances between our web development, database, and data center teams allowed us to react quickly and flexibly to any changes,” says Saskia Raach, who managed the project at Kittelberger.
A custom-built back office enabled Bosch campaign managers to review content, select candidates, and forward relevant data to the Bosch Marketing Cloud.
The entire campaign is being delivered within the global Bosch Professional website system managed by Kittelberger, and currently spans 13 countries and nearly 60,000 user records.
Lukas Neuffer, Website Manager in User Marketing at Bosch Power Tools, was equally enthusiastic: “The collaboration and implementation were exactly what we had hoped for. Kittelberger understood the project quickly and delivered from database to frontend with seamless integration into our existing infrastructure.”
