Business Cards at the Push of a Button for TRUMPF: Online Tool with Country and Language Versions

Background information

The online business card generator developed by Kittelberger for TRUMPF GmbH + Co. KG has been in use for several years. With this tool, TRUMPF employees from the various (country) subsidiaries can generate print-ready files for individual business cards at the push of a button. A completely new application with a modern and appealing look & feel has now replaced the old system. The VCard tool also provides the foundation for implementing new country and language versions effortlessly.

VCard Generator Enables Business Cards at the Push of a Button

The current TRUMPF VCard Generator, which replaces the previous business card generator, has been completely redeveloped in recent months. On one hand, to ensure operation on modern server technologies, and on the other, to provide a fundamental expansion of country and language support.
To date, the VCard Generator has been used by a total of 59 subsidiaries and branches worldwide. The new application also enables the integration of language versions with non-Latin scripts written left to right, such as Cyrillic, Japanese, Korean, etc. Implementing language versions with right-to-left scripts (e.g., Hebrew, Arabic) is also easily achievable, taking into account specific layout requirements.

The new VCard Generator offers users the following features:

  • Bilingual user interface (German/English)
  • Various layout versions for business cards
  • WYSIWYG preview of the business card within the input form
  • QR code generator to provide contact details via QR codes on the business card
  • PDF download of business card data
  • Automated, time-limited provision of print data for the respective company’s print service

Option to order printed business cards:

  • With integration into the TRUMPF internal ordering system: automatic submission of the order for further processing/approval within the system
  • Without integration into the TRUMPF internal ordering system: printout of an order/approval form to follow a manual ordering process
